The Arts Council Inc has been a leader in the arts community for more than 20 years. By providing services to visual and performing artists, arts organizations, students, and the public, the Arts Council strives to instill a passion for and participation in the arts.
The Arts Council is the designated local arts agency for Martin County, and as defined by the State of Florida, a local arts agency's activities include the following items:
- Cultural assessment and planning
- Services to arts and cultural organizations, individual artists, and the diverse communities the local arts agency represents
- Promotion of arts and cultural events or opportunities
- Collaborations that benefit the community at large and provide greater quality and access to arts and cultural programs and opportunities

Programs, projects, or initiatives such as arts in education, lifelong learning, art in public places, marketing and community outreach

The Arts Council, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization with a 501(c)3 status through the IRS. The Arts Council is supported in part by the Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, the Florida Arts Council, the City of Stuart, Martin County Board of County Commissioners and private contributions.
