Not your mamma's vinegar pickles! Explore the transformational art of brine fermentation pickling (that means no vinegar and no canning)! This age-old preservation technique is easy and delicious, and can be applied to a variety of fruits and veggies. We'll learn about the building blocks of pickling, cover its many benefits, as well as experiment with a variety of methods and ingredients. Each participant will leave with a jar of homemade veggie pickles.
This is an introductory workshop, and is suitable for new or moderately-experienced picklers.
