My abstract works are interpretations of expression and movement. I often combine several mediums on two and three-dimensional surfaces such as canvas, panel, paper, loom, clay, plaster, or objects. The art is constructed in an intuitive manner almost always starting with an emotion then develops into a gestural reaction. Constantly moving things around by scumbling, rearranging, adding, and subtracting. The work comes together by pushing and pulling itself into completion. The inherent rawness is a metaphor for a life’s journey.
