X-WR-CALDESC:COMPOSER PAUL FRUCHT VISITS THE TREASURE COAST WITH THE ATLANT
IC CLASSICAL ORCHESTRA\n\nACO and Martin Arts team up to host a lunch and
learn event featuring award-winning Composer Paul Frucht and Music Directo
 r David Amado on Friday\, March 13\, at the Chef’s Table\, beginning at 12
:00 pm.\n\nThe Atlantic Classical Orchestra will be performing composer Pa
ul Frucht’s double concerto\, Finding Religion\, on its Masterworks III pr

guest cellist Julian Schwarz\, who will perform with Leonid Sigal\, ACO\n
Concertmaster\, on violin\, and the ACO.\n\n“Finding Religion is inspired
by an art song composed by Charles Ives called Religion and by my own life
-long journey to make sense of religion as a concept”\, stated Paul Frucht
. “Both Ives and I are from Danbury\, CT and I often look toward his appro
ach for inspiration despite writing a very different style of music. When
Julian invited me to write this double concerto for him at the Eastern Mus
ic Festival\, this felt like the perfect concept as our close friendship h
as been defined and deepened not only by our thoughtful conversation\, lov
e of music\, and Mets fandom\, but most critically\, our shared Judaism. I
could not be more grateful for his remarkable friendship\, his confidence
in me as a composer\, and his lending of his incredible musicianship time
and again to my music\, most notably this double concerto.”\n\nTo learn m
