I enjoy giving pieces of my art to others, seeing them smile, and knowing that something I created had an impact on them. The arts can be used and interpreted in many ways. They can be sorrowful, joyous, or they can even be made to anger others. To me, however, they are creating something you care about, bringing ideas into reality, and making people smile because of it.” Katherine is a student at South Fork High School. She has exhibited her work at the Martin County Fair Art Show where she received a third place ribbon, and at the Marvin Cone Art Show. In college she intends to major in a science field and minor in art and then always continue her art, selling it online. One of the things she would particularly like to do is to develop illustrations for children’s books.
