“Exposure to music in the media from a young age romanticized playing musical instruments for me. My most vivid memory of this was listening to the fairytale themes that Tchaikovsky composed. His music is captivating because of its ability to provoke a strong emotional response, and because it is picturesque, colorful, and euphoric. But listening was not enough so I started playing the violin and then changed to the viola. It has given me the opportunity to paint colorful pictures and tell stories through music. I was chosen to be principal violist of the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony for the 2021-2022 season. I not only had to learn the music but also learn how to lead my section.” Andrea would like to become a professional musician. She is currently a student at Martin County High School.
