Since 1980, MartinArts has been the driving force for arts and culture in Martin County. MartinArts is the umbrella over the Arts Council, the local arts agency, and the Arts Foundation for Martin County. Our shared mission is to inspire participation and passion for the arts in our community.
Through our galleries, signature events (ArtsFest and the MartinArts Awards), educational programming for students, and public art initiatives, we create opportunities that uplift artists, nourish the cultural scene and make the arts accessible for all. By offering spaces for expression, connection, and creativity, MartinArts strengthens the cultural heartbeat of Martin County as well as the social and economic fabric of our region.
Located in the Court House Cultural Center, Martin County’s historic courthouse, our downtown Stuart location welcomes all who seek to experience the transformational power of the arts.
MartinArts values and celebrates the unique qualities of persons with diverse backgrounds and cultures. It is believed that inclusiveness adds to the organizational excellence when tapping the skills, talents, and resources of people of diversity. MartinArts will actively promote respect for persons of different race, creed, color, religion, age, national origin, gender, disability, sexual orientation, education, economic position, and ancestry. MartinArts will uphold the fundamental directives of equality and access to the arts for all.
The Arts Council Inc., DBA MartinArts, is a private, non-profit organization with a 501(c)3 status through the IRS.
