Save the date for ArtsFest 2021 on February 20 & 21
Treasure Coast residents are sincere and sophisticated lovers of the arts. And when we say “arts” we mean everything in the visual arts, performing arts and culinary arts. Local residents, as well as visitors, have helped elevate the culture of our entire area. And we have responded accordingly.
Located in downtown Stuart, ArtsFest is one of the longest running arts events in the area at 33 years and counting. Each year, the ArtsFest Committee and the Arts Foundation’s staff has intentionally upped the quality and diversity of our attractions and exhibits to cater to their tastes and introduce bold new artistic expressions.
That spirit made ArtsFest 2020 the best one ever. And it’s why we were named as one of the top 20 tourist events in the southeast, for a fifth time again this year.
The theme of ArtsFest 2020 was “Succumb to Your Senses” because the attractions appeal to all five senses.
ArtsFest got a little hotter! The Corning Museum of Glass brought its 46-foot-long, 50,000-pound Mobile Hot Shop to Memorial Park to demonstrate the techniques and skill necessary to sculpt 2300°F sand into beautiful works of art!
Nearly 100 artists in multiple mediums displayed their amazing works of art. Congratulations to Luis Enrique Gutierrez, ceramics, for Best of Show among his fellow juried artists.
OFF THE WALL Urban Art Competition returned for a second year with the public deciding on the winner. Congratulations Louichyz Art for his masterpiece.
Stuart CHOPPED had its largest crowd to date and returning chef, Aldo Ramirez of Spritz City Bistro was crowned the winner.
The Plein Air Paint Out competition made its debut and artist Jussi Poyhonen won the first prize of the judges.
