About the Artist
Always drawn to art, Patrice began her formal education at the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Cleveland Institute of Art, finishing her degree at the University of Miami. After working as a resident artist on Cape Cod, she opened her own gallery in Kennebunkport Maine, where she met her husband. They eventually moved to Stuart where she maintains a studio and participates in the local art community.
“I draw and paint from life and enjoy interpreting the bright colors of our South Florida landscape. Every painting is a journey of discovery for me, a connection with and translation of these landscapes that I love.
‘Groveco’ depicts an old abandoned citrus processing building west of town. It still exists but is now restored for use and no longer sports the sign that inspired my title.”
