About the Artist
Geoffrey C. Smith is an American wildlife sculptor, painter, and photographer whose lifelong connection to nature began when his grandfather taught him to carve wooden birds. Known for capturing the movement, character, and spirit of wildlife, Geoffrey creates everything from intimate bronzes to monumental public sculptures. His work appears in prominent collections around the world, including the Vatican, where his Rising Above sculpture was presented to Pope Francis. His eagles have also been selected as diplomatic gifts for international leaders. Based in Stuart, Florida, with a seasonal studio in Alaska, Geoffrey draws inspiration from observing animals in their natural environments. Through his artwork and conservation nonprofit, Art of Nature, he hopes to deepen our connection with the natural world and inspire its protection for generations to come.
