Where You Lead, I Will Follow
Ink and Gold Leaf, 16"x20"
About the Artist
Katie Gianni is a contemporary artist based in South Florida, exploring the intricate relationship between nature and design. Her unique wildlife portraits and abstract botanicals blend vibrant colors, layered textures, decorative motifs, and expressive linework with a balance of realism and imagination. Working with inks, acrylic mediums, and other fine art materials on paper, Katie believes each painting should be intentionally imperfect. She embraces expressive brushstrokes, splatters, drips, and the occasional smudge as an essential part of her creative process. Gold leaf is thoughtfully incorporated throughout each piece, catching the light to emphasize form, movement, and the individuality of every subject.
Katie earned a BFA from Stockton University in New Jersey and has called Florida's Treasure Coast home for over a decade. Alongside her studio practice, she is a full-time design consultant at The Gilt Complex in downtown Stuart, specializing in custom framing, art restoration, and in-home art services.
