Mission:
The mission of South Florida Surface Design is to cater to the fiber art and textile interests within thecommunity, facilitating regular gatherings for fiber artists and offering educational opportunities. This nitiative aims to uphold the highest standards for the exhibition of fiber art in South Florida, while fostering awareness and appreciation for textile-inspired art and design through events supported by its members.
Objectives-
To promote South Florida as a center of Fiberart and Textiles through community outreach.
To provide Fiberart and textile exposure and education for the South Florida community.
To develop a sense of shared community and support among artists.
To foster the concept that success for one artist benefits all artists.
To help elevate and educate member artists with workshops and assistance in technology, and writing skills for entries into juried exhibits to enhance their professional development
