Charlotte McElroy is a student at The Pine School. She says the natural world, music, and relationships between people inspire her to be creative. She uses the colors of the environment she is in, and the animals she sees, in her paintings as inspired. Her biggest inspiration comes when she puts herself in the shoes of people in different kinds of relationships and uses color and texture to portray the gritty feelings in her chest. She is happy about her involvement in the recycled runway at her school where she sewed a dress out of old sheets and fabric scraps.
