Heather Ivins says I’ve been making art my whole life, but it wasn’t until I moved to Stuart that I felt like part of an arts community. With the support of this community, I grew exponentially as an artist. Determined to give back, I’ve dedicated a lot of my free time to promoting the artists in our community. One example is when I volunteered for two years as a founding member of the Creek District. I have always created art to express myself, and to make sense of the world around me. Being able to share my art with others is what inspires me the most.
