“While there are many things that spark my credibility, what inspires me the most is the idea of representation and the people I have the privilege of connecting with through music. I’ve always been drawn to the human voice, not just in how it sounds, but in what it can do. Our voices carry emotion, history, culture, and connection. They’re tools for storytelling, healing, and empowerment. Being able to use mine to share a message, to offer a glimpse into someone else’s experience, or to bring joy or comfort to another person is something I don’t take for granted. We all know what it feels like to be happy, heartbroken, scared, excited, hopeful. Music, to me, is one of the few things that can reach across those divides and remind us that we’re not alone.” Natalia is a student at South Fork High School.
