Bob Vogel
I started oil painting around 1967 when an artist associate invited me to a morning of "painting a barn" in a field in Essex MA. I was hooked and continued to paint on and off (mostly off) for many years. I continued to focus on New England landscapes and evolved into marine paintings - seascapes and ocean waves. The marine interest was a result of living near the ocean, working on tugboats and fishing boats as well as sailing. Over the years I was fortunate to study with professional artists. My style may be considered impressionistic realism.
