Diana Zhang
Diana Zhang (B.I.X. Photography) was born in China and has always been interested in art and photography from a very young age. Her parents, who are physicians, encouraged her to express herself creatively and gave her the ability to view life through the camera lens. Her father was a plastic surgeon and he taught her the beauty of the human body. Like most traditional Chinese family, Diana’s parents enrolled her in extra curricular activities like musical instruments and ballet dancing which helped develop her creativity.
When Diana moved to Florida she and her mentor, AJ Bonnie, worked with many dance companies. This experience helped Diana to expand her creative expressions of movement and dance that can be seen in her art work today.
Diana continues to develop her talent and experiment with photography using mixed media. Her work in the medical field as a nurse inspired her to create images celebrating the human body and the human condition These self-portrait images depicts emotions that connects the viewer with the artist.
Diana has received recognition for her art and her works have been shown in galleries in Europe. Diana continues to grow creatively and her art is fresh and transformative.
In addition to photography, Diana is also a mixed media visual artist.
