Jodi Gaines
Jodi Gaines is a contemporary artist whose blend of abstract realism and impressionism and works in mixed media and oils are used to translate beauty, empathy, and resilience into visual poetry. She works out of her studio and displays art for sale in her gallery, located in historic downtown Stuart.
Gaines’s creative path has been anything but linear. Raised in the Florida Keys, and a long-time Martin County resident, her life has woven through music, design, and entrepreneurship before circling back to her first love: painting. For Gaines, painting is deeply personal and serves as an act of reconnection.
“I paint to rediscover the parts of myself I thought I’d lost,” she reflects. “Each work becomes a bridge between memory and the present moment.” That vulnerability, rendered in gesture and hue, is what gives her art its emotional clarity. It’s what makes the gallery feel less like a showroom and more like a conversation—between artist, subject, and viewer.
