Julie Burleigh
Native of Richmond, Virginia with its vibrant arts and culture scene, Julie Burleigh honed her craft. Taking classes in drawing, pastels, water color and oil painting, she often drew inspiration from nature, life or observation. Julie learned from the many college trained and self taught artists in the area. She learned techniques under national artists in oil and cold wax, impressionism, and watercolor at the Art of the Carolinas in Wake-Forest, North Carolina for several years. In Richmond and after settling in Florida, she has been a part of many art associations, art shows, galleries and pop-up art exhibits from Virginia to Key West Florida. Although Julie enjoys all mediums, her recent focus has been abstract oil and cold wax.
