Mark McKain
In my multimedia works, I want to depict an environment, a gathering place for forms, colors, and bodies, playing off the botanical and the landscape and placing it into a contemporary setting. I synthesize painting, drawing, text, and collage to explore the geology of memory, and the territory between the human and the nonhuman, the living and the nonliving.
Mark McKain’s work has been exhibited at the 92NY Art Center in New York, and his visual art and collage have been published in Tupelo Quarterly, Gulf Stream Magazine, Action, Spectacle, and Petrichor.
