The arts have always been a part of my life, growing up our mother was always doing projects with us, we went to museums, concerts and Broadway plays. However, I never devoted much time to my personal creative expression. I finally found time and space to devote to my creative side when I retired and moved to Arizona for ten years. I found that making art helped me work through many difficult life experiences. Art journaling led to monoprinting, which in turn led to collage and mixed media paintings. I love color and unexpected, unpredictable discoveries that occur and spur more creative ideas.
