Meet Frederick Douglass in the Park
A living history lesson featuring acclaimed Frederick Douglass historic interpreter, John H. Anderson, Jr. begins at 3pm. Doors open at 2pm with an exhibit honoring pioneer Florida educators and education advocates at the historic Salerno Colored School* (1934). Hosted by Martin County Black Heritage Initiatives with the Martin County Historic Preservation Board, Historical Society of Martin County, Martin County Genealogical Society, Stuart Heritage Museum and the Martin County Library System.
