Join Martin County Black Heritage Initiatives, MartinArts, and others for a reenactment of the Emancipation Proclamation announcement that took place on May 20, 1865, at the Knott House in Tallahassee at Gazebo Park, 80 SE Ocean Blvd., Stuart. Lectures on African American Troops in the Civil War and women’s contributions will follow.
